Birding Challenge

Every year, teams of ornithologists and bird lovers compete to see how many bird species they can find in 24 hours. This can help scientists better understand birds. Today you’ll want to get outside and keep your eyes to the sky, or trees, or bird feeders! We will be counting the number of different bird species we see outside. Don’t worry if you can’t identify the birds you see. You can even choose to count species by color. Just see how many different types you can find and have fun!
