Ice Exploration

This week was all about ICE and observing changes on the pond! We found a new spot to access the pond, and noticed how the temperature of our hands melts the snow and makes it disappear on the icy surface. We also tested our balance by climbing on a big fallen tree across the path from the Burrow.

Juniper and Kingfisher notice the leaves and sticks partially frozen in the pond. They brainstorm ideas on how to pull them out of the ice.

Fish and Lizard balance on a log, offering to hold each other's hands. Lizard walks with her arms out to steady herself, and (not pictured) Cloud asks, "do you feel stable?"

The Rainbows tested out the frozen "Mini Pond" along the trail in Theodore Wirth, scooting and wiggling across the ice.
