The Rainbows developed their fine motor skills by painting with pipettes this week! We shared colors, and talked about how they mixed together both in our pipettes and on the paper. The group asked questions about why the rivers all run together, noticing that the bigger drops create pools that can swish around. We discuss the geography we see and compare it to the natural features in our school forest.
Lizard uses sticks to weigh down her paper, watching how the drops roll down the bumps of her paper.
Juniper and Cloud paint together--they share two colors between them, focusing their attention to observing how those two paints interact.
Cloud fills her pipette all the way and makes big drops that splash.
Mulberry, Fish, and Kingfisher enjoy the messy freedom that comes with painting on the group--they tip their papers to let runoff paint flow differently.
