A Joyful Spring
The Rainbows are the happiest group--they spent the week loving each other and our forest environment. We painted together, played in the mud, and made each other laugh so much! They LOVE telling jokes and sharing joy in our time together. This week was also special because we visited Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden and were able to observe a baby and grown up owl! We introduced binoculars, and took turns watching the baby owl stretch its new downy wings. We have been talking about the different creatures that share our forest, and seeing new life emerge as the seasons change has been so special.
Mulberry, Fish, and Kingfisher help wash our tools from the muddy day before!
Cloud, Juniper, and Lizard tell jokes during our morning circle.
Kingfisher plays in the fresh mud from the rain, baking sugar balls and pies.
Fish and Lizard take birding very seriously--they stand still and use binoculars to observe the owls along the trail.
