Staying Social during Physical Distancing
Jellyfish made a nature bracelet with pipe cleaners and pinecones.
This week we stayed connected while staying home. Some families are participating in the #DailyDoseOfNatureChallenge which offers 30 days of nature play ideas to keep us outdoors while we homeschool. Teachers also offered prompts to continue our ongoing discussions about finding a class pet.
Students uploaded awesome videos of interesting finds in their explorations, as well as asking questions of their fellow classmates about their observations in nature.
Eagle shows off her oak leaf bracelet.
Worm comes to some interesting conclusions while playing sink or float with items she finds around her home.
Oak Leaf uses nature materials as painting tools to create works of art.
Acorn does research on rabbits for our classroom pet. She named her Sparkles!
Ladybug creates a habitat for a ball python. He uses a red balloon as a heat lamp.
Caterpillar finds a raccoon skull on his grandpa's land in Wisconsin.
Quail finds some owl pellets on a nature walk with his dad.
