This week, we welcomed two substitute teachers, Will and Maia. As a group, we helped teach the subs our routines and gave them tours of the forest. We also did some important work: watering our new trees, planting iris bulbs, and hauling wood chips for the nature play area.
On Tuesday, we wrote letters to our pen-pals in teacher Pam's group, and hid them in their forest mailbox. On Thursday, Pam's group invited us to a distanced tea party across the big stump circle, where they gave us bright pink cards with drawings. We ended the week with a visit from naturalist Emily from Kroening, where we were able to feed rolly-pollies to our toad friends Skip and Clover.
