Collect Wild Math Counters

Let's go on a nature hike to find natural materials for our Wild Math Counters Set. These will help you learn skills like counting, addition and subtraction. 

 

To assemble your own Wild Math Counters Set you will need the following items:

• At least 13 rocks 

• A permanent marker

• An assortment of other nature materials like pinecones or acorns

Make your set together, allowing your child to practice writing the numbers. Include mathematical symbols such as a plus, minus and equal sign.  Start slow, introducing a few numbers at a time. As you master number recognition, add more number rocks to your collection!
