Maia (she/her) grew up tromping around the forests and lakes of Wisconsin and Michigan. Her natural curiosity for the world around her lead Maia to pursue a degree in Environmental Science from the University of Minnesota. Over the last 13 years, she has worked as a naturalist and educator with the Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Board, Three Rivers Park District, and Twin Cities Food Coops. She loves to explore nature with young people and foster their sense of wonder and curiosity. 

 

When she’s not teaching, hiking, or otherwise adventuring, Maia works as a baker.
