Sharon's (she/her) lifelong connection with nature began at a young age, on weekly hikes with her family to local parks throughout the Twin Cities metro area. Majoring in Biology at St. Olaf College, she only knew that she enjoyed children and didn't want to work indoors. And so it has been! Beginning as an Environmental Educator with the Peace Corps in Paraguay, South America, she went on to work as a naturalist with Three Rivers Park District for many years before staying home with her two daughters. Returning to the work force after her younger daughter entered kindergarten, Sharon spent a few years first as a garden educator and then as a STEM educator, in both cases working with preschoolers. Coming from a place of curiosity and wonder, Sharon loves to playfully explore and support children in the meaningful work of following their passions, discovering, becoming, and loving life. May all children be supported to become all of who they are!
